Tables will go on sale today for the city's 11th annual Dinner on the Avenue to be held on Saturday, April 21.
Gather a table of friends, family, co-workers or neighbors to dine under the stars on beautiful Park Avenue. This unique, fun-filled dining experience hosted by the city of Winter Park has become the social event of the year. Tables of eight (8) are available for just $100 each.
Only the table, white linen tablecloth and chairs are provided - everything else is up to you. Get as creative as possible with table set-up and let your appetites decide whether you bring your own potluck dinne. You could also hire a local caterer to proide the food.
Creativity is encouraged and each group is challenged to develop its own unique look and individual décor and awards will be presented. Winners will be chosen in various categories including most colorful, most elegant, most original, best TV/movie-themed and honorable mentions.
Judging begins at 7 p.m. sharp and awards will be presented once the judges have announced the winners. Patrons are also encouraged to donate cash, gift cards or non-perishable food items for the “Dinner Drive” in support of Second Harvest Food Bank. So join the fun and serve a very good cause.
