Dr. Phillips Community Park & Dog Park in Orlando

Open in December 2007, the Dr. Phillips Community Park opened after several years of planning. Thanks to the efforts of community leaders and residents and the generosity of Dr. Phillips Inc., the 80-acre park is available to citizens of Orlando. Located on the shore of Big Sand Land at 8249 Buenavista Woods Blvd., the park features a playground, a splash fun area to cool off from Florida heat, rental pavilions and a dog park and includes areas for picnics, hiking, baseball, basketball and soccer. This much-loved fenced dog park includes separate small dog section, water fountains, and shade trees. Dog lovers can enjoy the lovely views while pets play off-leash.

The OrangeCounty Parks and Recreation Department designed and developed the first phase of the park on approximately one-half of the site, leaving room for future park expansion.
